Christmas morning I was gifted the Ranger double rifle case by 3V Gear. My particular case is the 36” case but is also available in 42”. The case is constructed of 600D PVC-backed polyester. The Ranger series has a very tactical look with molle webbing across the front, magazine storage pockets and an additional larger storage area for more gear. The case also features lockable zippers to help secure your valuables.
The next zipper compartment reveals two more storage compartments plus two handgun storage compartments that are secured by velcro. The handgun pocket is spacious enough to fit a pretty large handgun. I was able to easily store a .44 magnum desert eagle.
The rifle storage compartments is padded to provide safe storage. To help secure your firearm, there is a pocket on each end for your muzzle and buttstock to rest in. For addition security, there is also a velcro strap to make sure it doesn’t go anywhere. To keep your firearms separated there is a padded divider.
There are a couple of different options on how to carry the case around. There are padded carry handles which is my preferred carry method. There are also removable shoulder straps that are good for someone that may have to travel some distance to get to your destination.
Overall I like the amount of storage space the bag has, the appearance and the overall quality. I dislike the useless narrow zipper pockets on the front. I would also like to see the case offered in colors besides black. If you’re looking something that doesn’t stand out quite as much. They also have a discreet model that may fit your needs.
